Grow Your Own Workshop

Join us for a day behind the scenes at Soul Farm to learn all you need to know about growing your own veg organically. This workshop is designed for those who have basic or no experience in growing veg, or who just want to build their confidence in producing food. You may want to grow in a garden, allotment, small holding or even pots on a windowsill, this workshop will apply to all spaces and sizes.

We will take you on a comprehensive, step-by-step journey, from a cosy indoor session on planning for your space and the season ahead, to hands-on, practical on-farm sessions.

Topics covered will include:

  • Planning your space

  • Soil health and composting

  • Bed preparation and planting

  • Seed sowing and germination

  • Pests and diseases

What's included in your ticket?

  • Lunch

  • Refreshements and sweet treats

  • Your very own seedlings to take home to get you started!

Please arrive at 9:45am for a 10am start. Since March can be unpredictable weather-wise, please dress appropriately for periods of time spent outdoors, and wear footwear suitable for uneven, muddy ground.

We look forward to welcoming you to our farm, where we believe in empowering our community to join the food revolution.
